Newton, MA --- The Pine Manor College women's volleyball team defeated WPI 3-2 in non conference volleyball action on Thursday evening. Match scores were 30-8, 30-20, 30-20, 30-21, and 15-7. With the win, Pine Manor improves to 10-11 overall and WPI drops to 9-12 on the year.
WPI setter Jennifer Parker (Rochester, MA) registered match-bests in assists with 40, service aces with four and blocks with six. Sarah Gouveia (North Smithfield, RI) led all players with 13 kills while Nikki Croteau (Wilbraham, MA) tallied a game-high 21 digs. Katie Bomba (Chelmsford, MA) pitched in with 20 digs while Becca Holmberg (Madison, CT) added 10 kills for WPI.
Up next, WPI travels to Smith on Tuesday for a 7pm NEWMAC match.
