Grant and Bomba Pace Engineers in 3-0 over Becker

Leicester, MA --- Junior outside hitter Kathryn Bomba (Chelmsford, MA) tallied a team-high 13 digs and junior middle hitter Christina Grant (Mansfield, MA) smashed eight kills as WPI defeated host Becker 3-0 in non-conference women's volleyball action on Thursday evening. With the win, WPI improves to 4-10 while Becker slips to 3-4.
The Engineers, who as a team, posted an impressive .244 hitting percentage, won by scores of 30-17, 30-13, 30-23.
The Crimson and Gray were also led by junior setter Nikki Croteau (Wilbraham, MA) who recorded 25 assists and Becca Holmberg (Madison, CT) who chipped in with 11 digs. Kate Woodman (Fairfield, CT) and Becca Mattern (Rockville, CT) each contributed five kills.
WPI will play at the Wentworth Quad match tournament on Saturday. They will play three matches on the day starting with host Wentworth at 10am.
