WPI Men's and Women's Cross Country Perform Strong at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational

North Dartmouth, MA -- WPI Men's Cross Country ran at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational and placed 13th out of 29 teams. Alex White (Washington, MI) ran to a 14th place finish with his time of 26:09 while Paul Freitas (Walpole, MA) was WPI's second place finisher in 65th (27:37), Nicholas Wirth (Mansfield, MA) finished in a time of 28:13 to grab 90th place, Daniel Duffty (Haverhill, MA) placed 101 (28:33) while Kevin Jillson (East Sandwich, MA) rounded out the top five with a 107th place mark (28:47).

WPI Women's Cross Country also competed at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday and finished 14th out of 33 teams. Top five finishers for WPI included Megan Murphy (Perkasie, PA) in 32nd place (19:32), Amanda Learned (Hopkinton, MA) in 56th (20:05), Meghan Woods (Hanover, MA) 75th (20:31), Marissa Gray (Stanley, NY) in 102nd (21:30), and Catie Casey (Plymouth, MA) in 106th (21:48).

Up next, Cross Country will host the Worcester City Championships on Saturday at 10:30am.
