Paxton, MA --- Meghan Woods (Hanover, MA) placed second to help WPI to an impressive second place finish at the Worcester City Championships hosted by Worcester State on Saturday.  The meet was held at Moore State Park in Paxton , MA

Woods ran the 5k course in 20:35 and saw four of her teammates finish in the top 15.  Beth Hegarty (Springfield, MA) grabbed a seventh place finish (22:36) while Jen Keating (Winchester, MA) and Marissa Gray (Stanley, NY) combined for 11th (23:09) and 12th (23:13) place finishes, respectively.

Rounding out the top seven for the Engineers was Catie Casey (Plymouth, MA) in 15th (23:59), Faith Gilmore (Methuen, MA) in 23rd (24:49) and Danielle Volpe (Chelmsford, MA) in 30th (25:57).

The Crimson and Gray travel to the Community College of Rhode Island to compete at the Tri-State Invitational beginning at 10am.
