Men's Cross Country Takes First at Tri-States Invitational
Lincoln, RI --- Sophomore Chris
Gabrielson (Westford, MA) completed another strong race to
help lead WPI to a first place finish at the Tri-State Invitational
held at the Community College of Rhode Island. The Engineers also
won the event last season.
Gabrielson was WPI’s top runner, finishing in second place with a time of 27:05. The Engineers saw five of their runners finish in the top ten. Kevin Jillson (East Sandwich, MA) took home a fifth place finish (27:09) while co-captain Chris McCann (Haverhill, MA), Dan Duffty (Haverhill, MA) and Isaiah Janzen (Sabetha, KS) placed seventh (27:29), eighth (27:53) and ninth (27:58), respectively.
Cross Country hosts its Alumni Meet on Saturday beginning at 10am.
