Babson Park, MA --- Junior Kevin Jillson has been selected NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.  Jillson was instrumental in WPI's first place finish at the Western New England Invitational this past weekend that was held at Suprenant Field in Springfield, MA.

Jillson, a native of East Sandwich, MA, placed second and covered the 8,000 meter course in a time of 27:16. He saw five of his teammates place in the top ten as the Engineers scored 28 points en route to winning the 14-team event.

On the season, Jillson also finished in third place in the Worcester City Championships and fifth place in the Tri-States Invitational to help the Crimson and Gray capture gold medal finishes in both events.

WPI hits the trail again on October 27th, when they travel to Smith for the NEWMAC Championships. The event will start at 11am.
