Waterford, CT --- With a time of 26:25 and an 84th place finish, junior Kevin Jillson (East Sandwich, MA) paced the WPI men’s cross country team to a 19th place finish at the NCAA Division III New England Regionals on Saturday afternoon at Harkness Park in Waterford, CT. The Engineers finished the race as the top team from the Worcester County and fourth out of the other seventh NEWMAC schools in attendance.

Sophomore Chris Gabrielson (Westford, MA ,26:37) placed in 101st while senior classmates Pat Benson (Foxboro, MA, 26:51) and Christopher McCann (Haverhill, MA, 27:05) finished the 8k race in 113th and 129th, respectively. Sophomore Peter Brown (Andover, MA) crossed the line in 139th (27:22) while senior Isaiah Janzen (Sabetha, KS, 27:34) placed 148th and senior Eugene Douglass’ (Concord, NH, 28:53) 217th place finish rounded out the top seven for the Crimson and Gray.

The meet, hosted by Connecticut College , marks the end of the cross country season for the Engineers.
