Boston, MA ---  WPI Women's Cross Country combined to finish sixth overall at the NEWMAC Championships in Cambridge on Saturday.  Host MIT was the overall meet winner. 

Senior Meghan Woods (Hanover, MA) crossed the finish line first for the Engineers with her 27th (20:12.11) place finish.  Classmate Marissa Gray (Stanley, NY) placed 37th (20:35.64).  Beth Hegarty (Sprinfield, MA) finished 43rd (20:50.43) while Anne Rocheleau (Shrewsbury, MA) was 48th (21:05.25). 

Rounding out the top seven for the Crimson and Gray were Jen Keating (Winchester, MA), Stacey Rauen (San Gabriel, CA) and Jessica McNiff (Duxbury, MA) in 60th (21:40.99), 91st (23:41.15) and 101st (24:49.41), respectively.

The Engineers will participate next weekend in the ECAC Championships held in Bristol, RI.
