Women’s Cross Country Finishes Third at Engineers Cup

Saratoga Springs, NY --- In their first race
of the season, the women's cross country team ran to a third place
finish at the Engineers Cup, hosted by Rensselaer.
Freshman Vicky Hewey (Sanford, ME) paced the
Engineers with her seventh place finish (19:16). Junior
Stacey Rauen (San Gabriel, CA) registered a time
of 23:11 to take 13th while senior Beth Hegarty
(Springfield, MA) placed 14th (23:16).
Lori Corpuz (Redondo Beach, CA), Anne
Rocheleau (Shrewsbury, MA), Danielle
Volpe (Chelmsford, MA) and Lauren Waring
(Wilmington, MA) finished in 19th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd place,
respectively.
Women's Cross Country is back in action on Saturday when they
travel to the UMass Dartmouth Invitational beginning at 10:30am.
