      <title>Men's Cross Country Takes 17th Place at NCAA Regionals</title>

      <description>Portland, ME --- The WPI Men's Cross Country team raced to a 17th place finish for the second straight year at the NCAA Regionals held at Southern Maine on Saturday.  Junior Dan Duffty led the Engineers in 60th place, finishing the 8000 meter course in 26:46.0. Williams was the overall meet winner, taking first out of 48 teams.</description>

      <title>Women's Cross Country Finishes 25th at NCAA Regionals</title>

      <description>Portland, ME --- Women's Cross Country ran to a 25th place finish at the NCAA Regionals hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday.  MIT was the overall meet winner, leading the pack of 47 teams on a rainy mid-November afternoon in Portland. Local product Vicky Hewey wrapped up an impressive freshman season with the Engineers, pacing the WPI runners with her time of 23:14.6 and a 50th place finish.</description>

Host MIT won the meet with 24 toal points while WPI amassed 108. Senior Dan Duffty was WPI's top runner with a time of 27:10 and his 12th place finish earned him All-NEWMAC honors.</description>

Host MIT was the overall meet winner with a total time of 18 points, while WPI posted 163. Vicky Hewey crossed the finish line first for the Engineers with her 10th (19:39) place finish, good enough for all-NEWMAC honors in her freshman season.</description>

      <title>WPI Men's Cross Country's Finishes 38th at All NE Championships</title>

      <description>Boston, MA --- The WPI Men's Cross Country squad placed 38th at the All Divisions New England Championships Saturday at Boston's Franklin Park.  The Engineers totaled 1051 points and tied with Division I Rhode Island.  UMass Lowell took home the team title with 93 points.  Leading the way for the Crimson and Gray was Dan Duffty, who finished in 155th place (26:39).  Classmate Peter Brown was in 174th place in a time of 26:49.</description>

      <description>North Dartmouth, MA --- WPI Men's Cross Country competed at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon.  The Engineers came home with 9th place, with Keene State winning for the second year in a row. In a race that featured 262 participants, Peter Brown finished 42nd overall (25:53) to take the top spot for WPI.  Dan Duffty was 59th while Chris Gabrielson was 63rd.</description>
