Dani Rafuse joins the WPI Athletics staff as the Operations Manager in July of 2022.
Prior to coming to WPI, Rafuse was an associate camp and clinic director for Teamworks Centers where she assisted in delivering school vacation and summer camps while developing curriculums for a wide variety of sports. The versatile director played a key role in day-to-day operations including customer service, promotions, social media marketing, and training staff.
Rafuse spent time in the WNBA as a public relations and community relations intern for the Connecticut Sun where she managed credentials, updated game notes, compiled statistics, and conducted media availability for coaches and players. In addition, Rafuse contributed to community service events, social media content, in-game recordkeeping, and the post-game press conferences following the opening game of the 2021 WNBA Semifinals.
Starting in 2019, Rafuse had a two-year stop at Illinois State where she was a Sport Club graduate assistant which entailed oversight of daily administrative tasks for 31 sport club programs and assisted the Sport Club Executive Board and Sport Club Leadership Academy.
Before heading to Illinois State, Rafuse was a Club Sports and Business Operations Intern for the Campus Recreation department at UMass Lowell where she worked with athletics, facilities, and intramural sports while managing team travel, budgets, hiring, and training staff.
Rafuse graduated from Lasell with a bachelor of science degree in sport management with a minor in event management before earning her master of science degree in sport management from Illinois State.
