Michael DeSavage is now in his 20th year as the Head Athletic Trainer at WPI.
A native of nearby Auburn, Massachusetts, DeSavage graduated from Keene State College with his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education/Athletic Training in 1992. He went on to earn his masters in kinesiology from Temple University in Philadelphia in January, 2000.
DeSavage has extensive experience both on the NCAA Division I and the Division III levels. Prior to WPI, DeSavage spent two years as the head athletics trainer at Worcester State. During the 2000-2001 academic year, he was an assistant trainer at Holy Cross. From 1995 through 2000, he was first a graduate assistant and then an assistant athletic trainer at Temple. From 1992 through 1995, he was assistant trainer at Framingham State.
DeSavage received his National Athletic Trainers' Association certification in February of 1993. He also owns a Massachusetts State Athletic Training License.
