Baseball's Connors Repeats as CoSIDA Academic All-District I Honoree

CoSIDA All District Dylan Connors - WPI Baseball 2022

WORCESTER -- For the second consecutive season, WPI's Dylan Connors (Westboro, MA) has been selected as a member of the Baseball Academic All-District Team, as voted upon by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) members from Massachusetts and Maine.  The senior is now under consideration for Academic All-America accolades. 

Connors, a two-way player for the Engineers was selected as an infielder while starting nearly every game this season at first base while also contributing on the mound. The tri-captain is among the NEWMAC leaders in hitting with a .326 batting average and in hits with 42. Connors totaled 21 runs scored, knocked in 16 runs, tallied four doubles, and smacked three homers.

Connors graduated last Saturday with a degree in mechanical engineering.  He touted a 3.82 GPA while also earning a minor in business.  His IQP Project in Australia in C term of 2021 was titled "Emergency Service Recognition Program".  A member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Connors Humanities & Arts Component focused on international studies. 

WPI baseball posted a 16-18 record in 2022, highlighted by a seven-game winning streak to start the New England portion of its schedule and a last season series victory over NEWMAC Tournament participant Coast Guard.
