  • Callahan Retires from College Baseball Coaching

    WORCESTER -- WPI baseball coach Mike Callahan has announced his retirement from coaching college baseball.  Callahan, the program’s all-time winningest coach amassed 308 wins over his 17 years in the dugout for the Engineers. 
  • SUMMER REWIND: Baseball Takes Two from Eastern Nazarene to Provide Callahan 300th Career Victory

    Marlboro, MA --- A doubleheader sweep of Eastern Nazarene propelled WPI baseball head coach Mike Callahan to his 299th and 300th career victories. The Engineers downed the Lions 11-8 in game one behind a seven-run third inning and were able to eke out a 4-3 win in game two when centerfielder DJ Brooks connected with catcher Kyle DeRoma to throw out the potential tying run at the plate to end the game and hand his manager the milestone win.

  • NEWMAC Welcomes Salve Regina University as Newest Member Effective July 1, 2023

    Westwood, MA --- The New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) is thrilled to welcome Salve Regina University as its newest member institution following unanimous support from the NEWMAC Presidents Council. Salve Regina will become the conference’s 12th core member effective July 1, 2023 and will begin participating in conference play during the 2023-2024 academic year.

    Westwood, MA --- The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) will celebrate its 25-Year Anniversary during the 2022-23 academic year, the conference announced yesterday at the NEWMAC Annual Meetings.
