Men's Rowing Finishes 22nd and 27th at the Prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta

Men's Rowing

Cambridge, MA --- WPI men's rowing saw a pair of boats compete in the collegiate eight Sunday at the historic Head of The Charles Regatta.  The Engineers placed 22nd and 27th overall in a strong field that saw 38 boats participate.

The varsity eight turned in a time of 15:19.378, just a fraction of a second (0.17) behind 21st-place Tufts in a possible Baker Cup preview this spring and ahead of Marrietta, UConn, Colby and UC Davis.  The second varsity eight reached the finish line in 15:32.553 in 27th place with both boats besting entries from Bucknell, Clemson, UMass Lowell, Rutgers and UC Santa Barbara.

WPI closes out the 2019 fall season on Saturday, October 26th competing on Lake Quinsigamond in the Quinsigamond Fall Rowing Festival.
