Bryan Pursell begins his 18th season as an assistant coach in 2022-2023.
Bryan started rowing his freshman year at WPI in 01. He won the Richard V. Olsen award his freshman year. He was part of the boat that bought the Baker cup home to WPI for the first time. He won the New England championship in 2005 in the Quantum four that was built by Jim Raslavsky, WPI ‘68. The boat was named after Kenneth Burns, the coach of the 68 NERC winning V8.
After graduation he has help Larry Noble coach numerous boats to medals and wins at NERC and NIRCs, including 2017 MN4 NERC Champion, 2011 M3V8 NERC Champion, and 2009 MN4 NERC Champion.
