Update Spectator Policy Revealed
February 13, 2022We are happy to announce that external spectators can return to the WPI campus for home contests beginning on Friday, January 28th. We do have some guidelines all spectators will need to follow to help ensure we can continue to gather on campus at our events. -
Bazzini and Hallberg Named to United Soccer Coaches Region II First and Third Team

Seven WPI Fall Student-Athletes Draw NEWMAC All-Sportsmanship Team Praise
November 29, 2021Westwood, MA --- The NEWMAC has revealed the Fall 2021 All-Sportsmanship team, with seven WPI student-athletes chosen by their respective coaches to represent their respective sports. The student-athletes honored include Pat Flaherty of Men's Soccer, Emma Hartzel of Women's Cross Country, Andrew Peyton of Men's Cross Country, Lauren Paul of Women's Soccer, Kelly Makechnie of Field Hockey, Catherine Reynolds of Volleyball and Ryan Michaud of Football. -
Hererra and Hendrick Register CoSIDA Academic All-District Team Accolades
November 11, 2021WORCESTER – WPI men’s soccer senior back Erik Herrera and junior goalkeeper Roe Hendrick have been selected to the Men’s Soccer Academic All-District team, as voted upon by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) members from Massachusetts and Maine. The duo now advances to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. -
Marcantoni Tabbed NEWMAC Men's Soccer's Top Rookie Award; Trio Pick Up All-Conference
November 10, 2021Westwood, MA – Freshman forward Filippo Marcantoni garnered WPI men’s soccer third-ever NEWMAC Rookie of the Year award in voting by the conference coaches announced today. Junior forward Franco Bazzini was named to the league’s first team in addition to senior backs Mike Biando and Evan Hallberg notching second team selections. -

The Crimson and Gray are now 1-0 on the season, winning its opening match for the tenth straight season. The Rams are 0-2 on the year. -
NEWMAC Presidents Council’s Statement on Fall Sports
August 30, 2021The NEWMAC Presidents Council unanimously endorsed best practices and policies for the Fall Season focusing on the health and safety of its students, faculty, staff, and surrounding communities. The Conference will continue to monitor NCAA, CDC, local, and state guidance around the COVID-19 Pandemic and adjust existing protocols if necessary. Our institutions continue to put the health and safety of our communities as its focus for all our decisions to conduct athletic competition.
