Kara Willis is now in her second season at WPI as an assistant softball coach, bringing a variety of experience across multiple conferences in NCAA Division I and III.
Willis made began her collegiate coaching career as an assistant at UMass Boston where she developed and advanced pitching skills, coordinated community service projects, organized clinics. Kara assisted in coaching five all-conference players, one NFCA All-Region player, and one ECAC All-Star selection. Willis then went to URI where she spearheaded the pitching staff and coached a pitcher to the CollegeSportsMadness.com All-Atlantic 10 and All-Academic Team.
Kara continued her Division I experience at Hartford assisting in organizing clinics, community service, recruiting, and social media production. The next stop was at Dayton where she coached the A10 Pitcher of the Year, in addition to multiple regional and conference first-team pitchers. Willis led the pitching staff to a record-breaking season in various categories while taking in-game pitch calling duties. Willis made most recent stop at Brown where she held responsibilities for video analysis, player development, scouting reports, as she coached two All-Ivy League selections and one NFCA All-Region selection.
Willis graduated from UMass Boston with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and psychology and currently serves as the director of franchise operations for TITLE Boxing Club.
