Brunswick, ME --- After a late Friday night meet in Southern Connecticut, the WPI women's swimming and diving squad had a quick turnaround with a Noon meet against #10 MIT and #16 Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon in Maine.
The Engineers drop both ends of the double-dual meet but earned a handful top-5 finishes on the day led by a third place finish from Lada DiMascolo (Puyallup, WA) in the 1,000 Free. DiMascolo finished in 11:09.83.
The day started out with a fifth place finish in the 200 Medley Relay as Leah Kolb (Canton, MI), Elinor Ross (Brandon, VT), Andrea Wu (Redmond, WA) and Morgan Foltz (North Easton, MA) combined for a 1:50.74 finish.
Following Dimascolo's finish, Rachel Tsang (Acton, MA), Caitlyn Swartz (Pepperell, MA) and Natalie Carrington (Orange, CT) went 5-6-7 in the 100 Back, paced by Tsang's 1:06.09 finish.
Katrina Yurista (Laramie, WY) added a fifth place finish in the 1-Meter dive with a score of 176.85 and a sixth place finish in the 3-Meter Dive with a total of 178.55.
Ross took home fifth in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:37.73 and the 200 Free Relay team of Wu, Ross, Kolb and Foltz capped the day with a fourth place finish in 1:41.12.
The Engineers are back at it when they host the Gompei Invitational from Dec. 2-4 at the Sports and Recreation Center.
