Four Second Place Finishes for Men's Track and Field at Wesleyan Invitational

Middletown, CT --- The WPI men's track and field team had a successful day competing in the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday.

Josh Brodin (Mansfield, MA) finished second in the 5000 run with a time of 15:49.74. Chris Farren (Plaistow, NH) was second in the weight throw, with a distance of 49 feet and three- quarters-of-an-inch. Tristan Richardson (Attleboro Falls, MA) had a second place finish in the high jump with a 6 foot, 3.25 inch jump. Kyle Morette (Leominster, MA) was second in the pole vault, with a 15 foot, one inch distance. 

Robert Hollinger (Averill Park, MA) came in third in the 5000 with a 15:56.30. Nate Martel (Standish, ME) threw for 43 feet and 10 inches in the shot put, good for third place. 

Joey Collins (Standish, ME) came in fourth in the 600 run with a 1:24.63 time. Tim Forrest (Madison, CT) finished fourth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.69 and TJ Liguori (Westerly, RI) had a 45 foot, 1.75 inch distance in the weight throw, good for fourth place 

Jeff Rosen (Easton, MA) came in fifth in the weight throw with a distance of 44 feet, 10.25 inches. 

Ben Altshuler (Ellenville, NY) had sixth place finishes in the long jump with a 20 foot, 7.25 inch jump and the triple jump with a 42 foot, 11.75 inch distance. 

The team travels to Boston University on Saturday, January 28th as they participate in the Terrier Invitational.
