Packard Earns Second All-America Nod, Spot in D3 Indoor 800m All-Time Top 10

Birmingham, AL --- Sophomore Sydney Packard (Georgetown, MA) handed in the 10th-fastest time in Division III history en route to being named an All-America in the 800-meter run at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships Saturday.

Packard's time of 2:09.10 secured third place in the final and was over a second quicker than her previous school record time of 2:10.38. It is the sophomore's second All-America nod and the 11th for head coach Brian Chabot. Like last year's outdoor championship, Packard was the top finisher from New England.

Ohio Northern's Emily Richards repeated as the 800m champion approximately 45 minutes after earning the mile crown while Washington University of St. Louis' Annalise Wagner took second.

The outdoor season begins on March 31 at the Tufts Snowflake Invitational.
