Saratoga Springs, NY --- WPI women's rowing concluded its fall season Saturday with a busy day at the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs. NY.
The Crimson and Gray's collegiate varsity eight finished sixth in a race featuring many nationally-ranked crews from previous years. The Engineers reached the finish line in a time of 12:44.05. WPI's entry in the collegiate second varsity eight posted a time of 13:53.63 en route to placing 13th.
In the novice events, the eight boat reached the finish line in fifth place (14:19.56) while the four entry was 15th in a time of 17:36.76.
As tradition, WPI broke into several smaller boats and several fours, doubles and singles registered strong performances on the day. Also, the Engineers performed in the mixed eight with the men and saw alums and coaches finish well in races.
WPI will be back in action in early April for the spring portion of its season.
