WPI Women's Rowing

WORCESTER --- WPI Women's Rowing's varsity eight concluded an impressive opening weekend of rowing Sunday on Lake Quinsigamond, edging Trinity in a tight race.

Faced with a shifting cross tailwind from the west, starboard, the Engineers pulled ahead early and then held off a late Bantam push.  WPI won the race by just over two seconds - 7:02.65 to 7:04.94.  The Crimson and Gray's second varsity eight also was in the race, turning in a stellar time of 7:10.60.
