Women's Rowing Bests Connecticut College in Opening Regatta of 2021

WORCESTER --- WPI's varsity eight and second varsity eight made a successful 2021 spring debut Saturday on Lake Quinsigamond.  The Engineers swept Connecticut College in racing that featured a 10 mph tailwind on a cold and chilly morning. 

The varsity eight reached the finish line in a time of 7:10.9, nearly 25 seconds ahead of the Camels (7:35.5).  The second varsity eight turned in a time of 7:17.9 to defeat the visitors (7:56.2). 

WPI women's rowing returns to the water Sunday, entertaining Trinity on Lake Quinsigamond.
