Women's Rowing's V8 Posts Fastest Division III Time in the Nation in Sweep of Holy Cross

WORCESTER -- WPI women's rowing concluded its 2021 regular season schedule with a sweep of Division I Holy Cross.  The Crimson and Gray posted blazing times that included the top time rowed by a Division III varsity eight nationwide entering Saturday. 

The varsity eight reached the finish line in a time 6:41.8, nearly 18 seconds ahead of Holy Cross (6:59.5).  The second varsity put a bow on its undefeated regular season, putting up an impressive time of 6:44.5, over 22 seconds better than the Crusaders (7:06.9). 

The Engineers await word on possible NCAA Selection.  The six-team field for the championship field will be revealed on a NCAA.com webstream at 4:30pm on Tuesday, May 11th.
