Martha Strom starts her 13th season as assistant coach for WPI Women’s Rowing.
Coach Strom has been instrumental to the growth of the program and is primarily responsible for the development of the Crimson and Gray 3V8 and 4V8. She has guided the Engineers to several 3V8 Grand Final appearances at the New England Rowing Championship, including a Bronze medal performance in 2019.
A former coxswain for The College of Holy Cross, Strom’s passion for rowing continues both as a coach and competitive coxswain. Strom competes annually at the Head of the Charles Regatta, having medaled 11 times (5 gold) at this prestigious event.
Strom holds a BA in sociology from Holy Cross, an M.Ed. in school counseling from Worcester State, and an MBA with a concentration in human resources from Clark.
