Springfield, MA --- The WPI women's soccer team scored early and often in a convincing 6-0 win on the road at Springfield on Saturday afternoon. WPI moves to 8-5-1 overall, 2-3-1 in NEWMAC play, while Springfield suffers just its second conference loss of the season, going to 6-5-1 overall and 4-2-1 in NEWMAC action.

Just six minutes later, junior Grace Casey (Winchester, MA) made it 2-0 WPI on a well placed corner kick that curved right into the goal for her third score of the season.

A pair of second half scores then sealed the victory for WPI. Nine minutes into the frame, Lilly Proulx (New Boston, NH) fired a cross to Caitlin Bonavita (Wilbraham, MA) who finished for the fifth Engineer goal of the afternoon. Then in the 68th minute, Bonavita intercepted a Springfield pass and sent the ball up to Molly Vincent (Douglas, MA) who assisted Josie Kim (San Jose, CA) for the final score of the game.
