Boston, MA --- Sarah Kwatinetz (Seattle, WA) and Amanda Wetmore (Hudson, NH) each smashed 10 kills as WPI rolled to a 3-0 non-conference women's volleyball victory at Emmanuel Thursday night on Andy Yosinoff Court. The duo also hit .529 and .400, respectively.

Also contributing to the team's 43 swipes were Colleen Mullins (Andover, MA) with eight and Abbie Gilbert (Hopkinton, MA) with five. Catherine Reynolds (Concord, NH) passed off 32 assists while Kate Amrein (Nashua, NH) and Kayleigh Campbell (Wilbraham, MA) combined for 21 digs. Reynolds also served up three aces to go with two each by Wetmore (2 blocks, 2 block assists) and Amrein.

Emmanuel, who was limited to 18 kills, saw Marissa Cataldo (Melrose, MA), Tenzin Dotsang (Cambridge, MA), Isabella Miller (Blackstone, MA), Emma Fenton (Monument Beach, MA) and Shannon Carroll (Massapequa, NY) hand in three apiece. Rachel Coleman (Peabody, MA) and Jalen Winfrey (Rochester, NH) teamed up to account for the Saints' 17 assists. Samantha Carrigan (Plaistow, NH) paced all student-athletes with 15 digs, followed by Tatiana Correia (Peabody, MA) with nine.

The Engineers opened the match on a 4-0 blitz and never looked back in the opening set, holding a lead throughout while holding the Saints to a dismal negative -.038 hitting percentage as a team in the set to take the frame, 25-17.

It didn't get any better for Emmanuel in the second set as WPI continued its strong play at the net, holding the Saints to a negative -.083 attacking percentage in the second set to cruise to a 25-16 win.

EC showed some fight early on in the final frame, trading points in the action to a 6-5 score before the Engineers rattled off five straight points to swing the momentum en route to the 3-0 sweep in non-conference play.

The hosts; however, prolonged the last two sets thanks to a kill by Carroll and a WPI miscue in the second and a swipe by Miller and another Engineer error in the third.

Both teams are on the road Saturday as WPI (12-8) treks to Bowdoin for a 1pm match while Emmanuel (6-15) and Simmons gets underway at noon.
