Women’s Cross Country Finishes 17th at UMass Dartmouth Invit.

North Dartmouth, MA --- WPI Women's Cross Country finished 17th of 42 teams at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon.  MIT was the overall meet winner.

Amongst 301 runners, Victoria Hewey (Sanford, ME) took home the top spot for the Engineers with her 29th place finish (19:11).  Stacey Rauen (San Gabriel, CA) finished in 97th (20:26) for WPI, while teammate Elizabeth Hegarty (Springfield, MA) placed 113th (20:37).

Other top finishes for the Crimson and Gray included Anne Rocheleau (Shrewsbury, MA) in 160th (21:23), Catherine Duffty (Haverhill, MA) in 182nd (21:41), Danielle Volpe (Chelmsford, MA) in 214th (22:09) and Jessica McNiff (Duxbury, MA) in 232nd (22:36) place.

Women's Cross Country hits the trail on Saturday when they participate in the Worcester City Meet held at Moore State Park in Paxton beginning at 10:30am.
