Williamstown, MA --- The WPI Men's Cross Country finished 19th out of 49 teams Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Division III New England Regional hosted by Williams. MIT came in first, while the hosts finished second. Brandeis rounded out the top three in team scoring. With the results, WPI's 2010 campaign is now complete.
Mario Christiner (Zurich, Switzerland) paced the Engineers with a 76th place finish by posting a 27:24.3 time, while Lane Thornton (Richmond, VT) had a top 100 race (92nd, 27:45.5).
Dominic Gonzalez (Lowell, MA) crossed the finish line 107th (28:06.6), as Scott Burger (Huntington Station, NY) completed his race in 133rd (28:27.7). Jeremy Francisco (Dartmouth, MA) was the last WPI runner in the top 150 with a 28:34.3 for 141st.
Shane Ruddy's (Seneca Falls, NY) finished 157th out of 333 runners with a time of 28:54.6.
